Hey there, I'm the gal behind the camera.

I’m Erica, an intimate wedding and elopement story teller living in NC, but ready to knock off another bucket list location asap. I have an identical twin sister, a younger sister, and an older brother, and they’re my world. Seriously wouldn’t have survived my childhood if it weren’t for them and Jesus. If you’ve spent more than five minutes with me, you know that i’m a big free spirit and an even bigger feeler. I’ll prob hug you too much, and I’m quick to want to know your whole life story. I’ll also be the first to say yes if you ever want to go on a hike, bike ride, or play sports on the beach.

The inspiration behind my imagery is equally about you trusting me as it is me documenting your moments authentically and honestly. That’s why I find it most important from the very beginning that we get to know each other and know it in our souls we’ll make a great team because at the end of the day, I’m the one that shares all of your moments with you on your wedding day. While it would be amazing to be everyone’s photographer, I realize I may not be everyone’s preference and that’s okay. It’s your story, and you deserve for it to be told in the *most* genuine way. If I’m the one you choose to document it, know that I’m so pumped and humbled to be a part of your beginning. Thrilled to meet you + your soulmate.

SOME FUN FACTS

I shot my first wedding when I was a freshman in college, having hardly ANY knowledge about weddings or camera gear in general. I researched for days on what lenses to buy and what shots were “essential” and showed up SHAKING. With that said, that day set the groundwork for me realizing I felt at home documenting love stories. I can’t imagine doing anything else!

I lived the first three years of my life in Mexico City. That being said, I’m also hispanic! Until recently, I thought I was half and then took a DNA test and found out, I’m a melting pot of almost every ethnicity.

I have an identical twin sister! She’s my best friend and shoots weddings with me also! Growing up, we weren’t as close oddly enough, and were determined to be different than other twins who lived in each other’s shadows. So everything she did, I did the exact opposite, even to the point of us choosing opposite universities for college – she chose the beach and I chose the mountains!

Fitness has always been really important to me, and I actually grew up playing as many sports as my schedule would allow. In my adult life, I discovered cycling and became obsessed with it! So much to the point of wanting to become an instructor myself! So I worked really hard and chased a dream of becoming a CycleBar instructor – and I did it!!

I love Jesus and was a worship leader for 6 years! I always associated singing to other people with performance, but when I became a worship leader, I realized how freeing it is to relate to people through your voice, and how humbling it is to get to lead people to the Lord.

As much as I love coffee shops for their warmth + aesthetic, I’ve never been a fan of coffee! I’m trying to convince my taste buds otherwise!
